Food, medical device, and drug registrations all renew during a shared calendar window (October 1 – December 31), so a single reminder covers every registered facility at once. MoCRA doesn't work that way. Your biennial renewal date is tied to your own facility's original registration date — two years after you first registered, and every two years after that. Two cosmetic facilities registered six months apart have two completely different renewal deadlines.
This is exactly why MoCRA renewals get missed. There's no single "renewal season" to watch for — if you don't know your own registration date, you won't know your deadline until it's already passed.
As of a February 11, 2026 update, the FDA's Cosmetics Direct portal added dedicated Registration Status and Renewal Date fields specifically so facilities can track their individual biennial deadline. If you've lost track of your original registration date, this is the fastest way to check.
